What is Hospice Care?

This is done by not only tending to their physical needs but also their emotional and spiritual needs through various modes of support. Hospice works by prioritizing comfort and ensuring that the patient has quality of life as they enter this final phase. Hospice can be an alternative to therapies that solely focus on life-prolonging measures that be daunting, which can lead to more symptoms, or that are not in line with the patient’s end-stage goals.
