Levels of Hospice Care

PALLIATIVE CARE

What is palliative care? It is a specialized form of medical care that helps those who suffer from serious and life-limiting illnesses. The approach if this care is to improve the quality of life of those who are debilitated by their condition. This care can come in the form of physical, emotional, and spiritual support. This support allows for the patient and their family to find comfort during such a challenging time.

Palliative care can also be beneficial for patients who are experiencing serious illnesses that may not be life-limiting. Palliative is a full spectrum form of care that treats the symptoms, as well as emotional and mental challenges that come with it. Affinity Healthcare Resources excels in working directly with patients and their families to educate and guide them to the best level of care possible. At the start of our palliative journey, we will determine what services will meet their physical needs as well as their emotional and spiritual needs so that they can enter this phase with dignity and peace.

Palliative care acceptance is on a case-by-case basis, that is why a consultation/evaluation is required to determine if you qualify.
